When you use Bereddo, we collect information about your household preparedness. We do not ask for your name, email, or other directly identifying personal data. The data we collect includes:

a. Household Context (non-identifying)
- Number of people in your household
- Presence of children (0–17 years)
- Presence of elderly persons (65+ years)
- Presence of pets
- Type of housing (e.g., house, apartment, special housing)
- Access to a car
- Storage space availability for emergency supplies
- Postal code (ZIP code)

b. Preparedness and Inventory Data
- Items you have in your emergency stockpile
- Your self-assessed preparedness level
- Preferences, goals, and reminders related to readiness
- Optional comments and notes

c. Technical Information
- Anonymous device data (e.g. operating system, app version)
- Usage statistics and error reports (for performance and debugging)

 

2. No Direct Identification

Bereddo does not collect names, email addresses, GPS locations, or any other information that directly identifies you. All data is collected at a household level, and our intention is not to identify individual users.

However, under some circumstances—especially in sparsely populated areas—a combination of postal code and detailed household information might indirectly identify a user. Therefore, we treat all collected data as personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Why We Collect This Data

We use the information to:
- Personalize your emergency preparedness recommendations
- Help you build a tailored inventory and stay on track
- Improve app features based on aggregate user trends
- Generate anonymous statistics that may support public safety or awareness

We never use your data for advertising purposes.
